There is a discount for IAMG members. Early registration ends May 15, 2026 (see Important Dates). Students enjoy a reduced price. A proof of student enrollment according to the usual rules of the IAMG is required. Here you can download a form. Fill it out and send it back to support@iamgmembers.org

The registration fee for regular and student participation includes:
- Attendance to scientific sessions
- Delegate’s package
- Lunch buffet

Refund policy
A refund of registration fees will be made to any registered participant who cancels before or on May 15, 2026 less a 5% administrative fee. Cancellation requests received before or on July 19, 2026 will be subject to a 5% administrative fee and a surcharge of 25% to cover incurred expenses. No refund will be made if cancellation requests are received after July 19, 2026.
Substitutions will be accepted at any time as long as the eventual additional amount in registration fees is paid. Please note that registrations may not be shared (i.e. the same person must attend the entire program on a single registration).
Visa
Need a Visa or eTA?
Visa-exempt foreign nationals who fly to or transit through Canada need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Exceptions include USA citizens and foreign nationals with a valid visa.
Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, are not eligible to apply for an eTA and need to travel with a valid Canadian passport.

All travellers must present acceptable travel documents and identification must be presented at the border. We strongly suggest that you begin the process as soon as possible to avoid delays. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa or an eTA to enter Canada. You can request a visa letter during the registration process. The organizers will not provide financial support. Please check with the Canadian embassy or consulate for the specific requirements for your country.
How can you get an invitation letter for visa application?
For all travellers needing a visa to travel to Canada, the Committee will provide an invitation letter. To receive your invitation letter, you must register and fill the required information. After receiving the full payment of your registration, we will forward you a copy of the letter, including the special event code you will need to apply.
- This letter does not guarantee your visa request will be accepted, but it will help to facilitate your application process.
- Your application will need to go through the same scrutiny as any application.
- If your work or research studies do not directly link you to the subject of this conference, your visa request will very likely be denied.
- You are responsible for submitting all the proper documentation for analysis.
Processing times
Processing times for Special Events usually take between 30 to 60 days. Since 2020, the number of visa applications to enter Canada has skyrocketed and further delays are possible. Please submit your application for visa as well as your request for biometrics as quickly as possible. As soon as you receive your application number, please email it back to us at iamg2026@agora.events.
This will allow us to submit a valid attendees list to the immigration services and support your reason for travel. This does not guarantee your visa application will be accepted. This process will help to accelerate the process.
